The Greatest Gift!

FINALS ARE OVER!  I have now successfully completed the worst semester ever! (well, there is actually a good chance I wasn't so successful in some of my classes) I took some hard classes, and am SO relived that I'm finished! I'm now 2 classes away from being finished with my generals!  HIP HIP HOORAY!  And now I finally have some spare time to do some bloggin'

Welp, Christmas is swiftly approaching and I'm so excited!  I love the Christmas season!  Being home, the lights, the snow, (oh wait, what snow?) the music, the movies, the hot chocolate, the gingerbread houses, the decorations, and the warm holiday spirit; Everything about Christmas just makes me happy! 

However, my favorite thing about Christmas is being able to celebrate the birth and life of my Savior, Jesus Christ.  I'm so grateful for his love and willingness to give the greatest gift of all, to sacrifice His perfect life for me.  For being the perfect example I have to look up to, and who I strive to be like.  And the comfort it brings me to know that what I have gone through, am going through, and will go through, He understands completely and is ready and waiting for me to ask for His help.  I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas gift.

Photo shoot!

So this week I had a project to do for my photography class.  I recruited my nephews as models, and had an absolute BLAST!  Unfortunately I used a film camera, so I don't know yet if they turned out.  I'm praying that they did, but even if they don't it was so much fun.  So thanks to my sis for letting me use her adorable children to photograph, and for the very fun afternoon!  Love you girl!

Birthday Fever!

Today my older brother, Michael, turns 22.  We have become very close, and he is definitely one of my very best friends!

Another Birthday!

Today my studly little brother turns 17! We have always been besties, everyone 

always thought we were twins! He was my goto man whenever I needed an "owner"

for when I pretended to be a dog. Or when I needed a partner to spy on the rest of 

the family, or t0 have INSANE rollerblading/biking/skateboarding races with, after watching the Extremely Goofy Movie! He was even the one who broke the bad news to me about Santa Clause.  

Did I mention, He is an awesome lacrosse player?

What a stud!  Happy birthday Mitchy!

Today is my best friend, Emily's, birthday! She is finally 19! YAY! We have been best friends forever and I love her dearly!

home sweet home!

My roommates and I have been trying to decorate our apartment!  We have been letting our creative juices flow, this is what we came up with for the kitchen. 

What do you think?

We went to DI to pick out the plates on the wall (about 25-50 cents a piece by the way, I'd say that's a good deal!)  We were asked, more then once, if were trying to find all the plates that DIDN'T match!  Silly DI shoppers! If they only knew how creative we were being!

We have a few more ideas, but for now we're just taking it one idea at a time!

Stress?...YES!

Midterms! Which means...

• Not getting ready for school...or anything else
  
• No sleep
  
• Waking up 15 minutes before class starts
  
• Throwing on a T-shirt and jeans EVERY day ( the passed couple days have been sweatshirts, which I'm pretty happy about! YAY FALL)
  
• Not washing my make-up off at night because I know I won't reapply in the morning ( okay I know its gross but don't pretend like you have never done it! )
  
• Either eating junk, or not at all

But 3 tests, 2 papers, and 1 one very stressful week later, I'M DONE! Whew!  Now it's time for FALL BREAK!

Phone call!

Last night I received a very special phone call!  It ended up being a very late night but it was SO worth it!  It was so good to hear from my best friend again! 

hollywood and labor day

So last weekend, I had fun dressing up for a "Hollywood" themed party with some of my friends, we had tons of fun and got to feel famous as we walked in on a red carpet and had our pictures taken.

...Then

      ...For Labor Day weekend, I went up to Ogden and hiked Ben Lomond, with my family.  We made it all the way to the top!  Then we met up with those who couldn't come on the hike at my Grandma and Grandpa's house.

My old cheer coach just moved back to Utah, so a few girls from our old team got together for dinner and some shopping to celebrate! We had a great time, and I'm sure those who were sitting around us at dinner were really wishing we weren't there....we were a loud bunch.
